The CEPT amateur radio licence entitles the holder to use radio equipment on all amateur radio frequency bands in the following modes: Morse telegraphy, teletype, packet radio, radiotelephony, facsimile and television.

The amateur radio licence 3 entitles the licensee to use radio equipment on the amateur radio frequency bands provided for this type of licence in the following modes: Morse telegraphy, teletype, packet radio, radiotelephony and facsimile.

Special conditions

• The prerequisite for award of a licence is a valid certificate of competence.
• The examinations are conducted by OFCOM.
• It is possible to apply for a time-limited amateur radio licence.
