The test licence allows the licensee to conduct radiocommunication tests (tests and measurements of radiation, propagation measurements, etc.) with a radio installation throughout the development phase of equipment and systems.

Further information
The radiocommunication equipment is described in the licence. A technical director must supervise the tests (dipl. eng. EPF, HES or ETS in electrical engineering, etc.). A record must be kept throughout the tests; this record provides information on the beginning and end of the tests as well as on the way in which these were conducted and on the intended objective. It must be conserved for at least three years and, if necessary, must be able to be made available to the licensing authority.
